School Choice

The Ipswich Public Schools are no longer accepting School Choice applications for the 2025-2026 school year. 

School Choice 2026-2027

The Ipswich School Committee has voted to open School Choice seats for the 2026-2027 school year in the following grades: Grade 2 (Winthrop and Doyon), Grade 4 (Doyon Only), Grade 6, and Grade 9.

School Choice Lottery

A lottery for School Choice openings will be held on MONDAY, APRIL 27, 2026 at 9:00 AM. 

Should the district receive more School Choice applications for a particular grade than available openings, the district will select names through a random drawing. Applicants do NOT need to be present during the lottery. All applicants who have submitted an application prior to 9:00 AM on APRIL 27, 2026 will be notified by email of their School Choice status by the end of the day on April 27th. 

Applications for School Choice for the 2026-2027 school year will not be accepted after August 1, 2026.
