Mr. Ginolfi

My name is Peter Ginolfi, and I am proud to be entering my third year as Principal of Ipswich Middle School. Over the past two years, I have had the privilege of working alongside our outstanding teachers, staff, students, and families, and I continue to be inspired every day by the dedication, kindness, and creativity that define the IMS community.

Before coming to Ipswich, I spent 29 years at Higgins Middle School in Peabody, where I taught Social Studies and served as an Associate Principal for two decades. While I am grateful for those experiences, leading here in Ipswich has been especially rewarding. The smaller school community allows me to know our students and families on a more personal level, which I believe is one of IMS’s greatest strengths.

My philosophy remains simple: great schools are built by great teachers, and my priority is to support our educators so they can provide the best possible instruction and guidance for your children. Together with Assistant Principal Sean Fitzgerald, I am committed to ensuring that IMS continues to be a place where students are challenged academically, supported socially and emotionally, and given opportunities to grow into thoughtful, engaged young people.

Ipswich has been home to my family for 28 years. My wife and I raised our two sons here, and they benefited from the same dedicated teachers who continue to inspire students today. Beyond school, I’ve had the privilege of coaching youth and high school sports in town, which has allowed me to connect with many families and witness the strong sense of community that makes Ipswich such a special place.

As we begin another school year, I am filled with excitement for what lies ahead. I look forward to continuing to build relationships, celebrating student successes, and working together to ensure that every child at Ipswich Middle School has a safe, supportive, and enriching middle school experience.
